GET TO KNOW OUR PRODUCTS
While our customer-centric approach and resilience builds long-lasting relationships, it is the continuous supply of quality cables at an exceptionally competitive rate that grabs attention. Two of our products are our copper earth continuity conductors (Cu ECC) and our copper flame retardant (Cu FR) armoured cables. These products can be either low or medium voltage. Low voltage cables (bells) are up to 1,5mm by 16mm and medium voltage (mains) range from 25mm to 300mm. All cable products comply fully with the appropriate SANS and IEC standards and are manufactured and distributed in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system.
Our ECC and FR bells copper conductors (Round Conductors with sizes from 1.5-16mm²) are manufactured in two, three or four cores. The mains range (Shaped Conductors from 25-300mm²) is manufactured in either copper or stranded aluminium conductor. Cores are insulated with PVC or XLPE. The outer sheath is extruded with general-purpose, fire-retardant PVC. These products are suitable for direct burial installations, as well as in ducts for long-term use, and are a preferred option for low-voltage power distribution in industrial plants, shopping centres, commercial buildings and residential developments.
Cu ECC
Our Cu ECC multicores from 1,5-4mm can be provided on a made-to-order basis with core quantities of 7, 12, 19, 27 and 37. Several strands of the galvanised steel wire used for the armouring are replaced with tinned copper wires, which serve as the built in ECC (Earth Continuity Conductor), eliminating the need for a separate earth. The tinned copper earth wire is therefore protected against oxidation and corrosion.
Cu FR
Multicores are offered in the following sizes: 1.5 and 2.5mm² (provided in core quantities of 7, 12, 19, 27 and 37); 4mm² (provided on a made-to-order basis with core quantities of 7, 12 and 19); and 6mm² (provided on a made-to-order basis with a core quantity of 7). Armouring consists of Galvanised Steel Wire (SWA) around the bedding and serves as a mechanical protection against external damage.
